"Emerald Isle" draws most of it's inspiration from Nakamura's work on Sonic 2. This was the first track written for the album, and I really wanted to capture Nakamura's unique and quirky rhythmic and melodic conventions. Also, as I did with much of the album, I wanted to infuse Senoue's more lively and cartoony style of background part writing to create a level of excitement and fun.
